OUR 2012 MISSION STATEMENT
We will make PDT Skin Cancer Clinics available to more patients.
PDT for Cancer Cure are now focusing a nationwide local fundraising operation to provide funds for PDT Skin Clinics in either Hospitals or Community Clinics.
Did you know?
The most common form of cancer in the UK is skin cancer. It can be seriously disfiguring, painful and can lead to death. It usually involves invasive surgery and often leaves scarring which can be very unsightly in visible skin areas. Recent NHS figures show that there are over 130,000 treatments a year. PDT skin cancer treatment as an alternative could save the NHS an estimated £100 million a year.
Did you know?
There are currently only 120 hospital dermatology departments who can provide PDT for skin cancer. There are over 700 hospitals, so why aren't more of them providing this effective, tried and proven treatment that has NICE approval?
We have a solution to the problem ...
We will approach hospitals with dermatology departments and offer them the complete PDT for Skin Cancer equipment and training package. When we have serious interest we will organise an intensive local fundraising programme to raise the £15,000 needed. It will include PR with local press, finding corporate sponsorship, contacting groups such as Rotary and Round Table, sending our grant application and direct mail appeals and organising special fundraising events.
We will make PDT Clinics for Skin Cancer happen all over the UK. If you would like to help, please call us now on 01327 340 408.
